Alaska!

Well, we're back! Barb and I had a great time (well, except for the 5 hours I spent very sea-sick on-board a sight-seeing ship) during our week in Alaska. Watch for photos on our flickr site (there's a bunch - I don't think they'll all get there, but I'll try to get the good ones uploaded). We spent a couple of days by ourselves and several days with Chelsea and Marissa (including Chelsea's 19th birthday on 7/29). We saw great scenery, impressive wildlife on both land and sea, put 1200 miles on the rental vehicle, and made some great memories. We wish we could have taken more of the family with, but it just didn't work out this year (Barb and I really needed some time to ourselves - thanks for understanding). We even have proof that Chelsea really does know how to clean a room and bathroom (contrary to what the evidence at home indicates ;^).

There are a lot of stories to tell (a humpback whale slapping the water, a bear chasing carribou, Chelsea and Barbara playing a flute/piano duet during Church, and more...) but we'll have to do most of those in person. See you soon!
