Come Back!
I think it's time we re-started to do useful and fun stuff on our family blog, as well as maintain good email contact. With Josh & Barbie in Chicago, Chelsea in Cedar City, and Sam & Jess in Provo - we need to stay in touch! There's a lot of exciting things going on everywhere, and mom and I are interested in staying up on all your latest adventures. Fortunately we talk often on the phone, but I think that there's still value in the written word and in sharing pictures and videos on the web. But. what are your thoughts? Should we share news via email, or post to our family blog (which other, more extended family members monitor)? Some combination of both, I think... The main point is that we have to write more, whatever the means.
We're anxious for Josh & Barbie to get internet up at home and for them to get their camera fixed or replaced so that we can see what Chicago and their new condo look like! If I understand right, Josh started school last Monday, so we're curious as to how that's going.
As for news from the home front...hmmmm...Opa's *95th* birthday is coming up next Wednesday (10/8)! Whoever is available is welcome to go to dinner with him at the Golden Corral on Ft. Union on Thursday (10/9. 6:00pm) - which also happens to be Barb & my 28th anniversary; we've reserved a room at the Sundance Resort for Friday, and we're going to go see another BYU football game Saturday afternoon (2 in one season! woo-woo!)
If you didn't know, Erik quit working at the Megaplex and has been hired at Macey's grocery store. He's been to several training meetings and exercises, but hasn't officially started to work yet. He should get his first real schedule this weekend. (I told him that the secret to bagging groceries was "bread goes on top".)
Weather in SLC/Sandy has been warmer than normal (mid-80's), and it's been a very pleasant Fall so far. October is my favorite month, and I'm looking forward to trying to get some good fall foliage shots with our camera (nothing close to what Jess can do, but I wanna try!).
Sam is pushing hard to get his thesis done, so he's understandably busy. (If you think it may be of any editorial help, I'm willing to read through anything that you want to throw my way.)
We love you all! Stay in touch!

Glad to see you've put a new post. We would love to see pictures of Josh and Barbie's wedding. Is there anything posted on the web?

I'm all for posting here, given a choice. I like this way of getting news much better than waiting for Christmas letters to come around. :)
