Happy Hour!

Well, after a short first week, the office celebrated my arrival with Happy Hour at Slick Willies! Actually, the occasion was a quarterly meeting to review projects and celebrate some victories won, and then the office did go over to a bar across the street for drinks on the partners! I enjoyed my sprite and had some fun conversations with other associates about the dress code at my university and the differences between my college experience and theirs--study until midnight, never!! It was fun, and I joined a group of guys for some billiards and had fun cleaning up the table once around.

So I did survive my first week and am excited even more about the summer. The singles ward looks to be a lot of fun, and I now found friends in one of the other singles ward in the city: yesterday I went to see BYU's Young Ambassardors (touring the southern states) with the cousins and ran into a really good friend from my freshman year. She graduated two years ago and is teaching 2nd grade here in Houston, so we're planning on getting together to go country dancing and have some more fun times.

Life is great. Happy Cinco de Mayo (or however you spell it!). It's a slow Friday night, and I haven't had one of these in forever! I might just pop in a movie and then go to bed before 3am--that would be a shocker. (Lindsey is working and Hailey is at some function).
