Yucatan Vacation has started!

Woo-woo! We're actually in Playa del Carmen! I didn't think that we could pull this off when we finally decided to do this crazy little vacation with me, Barb, Chelsea, and Erik a month ago. But - here we are! We flew from SLC to Cancun today and rode a shuttle down to our "all inclusive" hotel (i.e., this is like a cruise that never leaves the dock). We settled into our rooms (we have two, one for Chelsea and Erik and one for me and Barb), walked around the grounds, and set foot in the ocean. Contrary to habit - i was the first to kick my chaco's off and step into the water. We'll try to post some news and pictures as we go along.
This is the trip I really wanted to try to do 2 years ago with the entire family, but someone (!) decided to marry a beautiful, wonderful girl instead. With Erik heading off to camp for the summer, and who-knows-what Chelsea will get involved with now that she's graduated, we decided that now was the best time to go do something crazy.
